Week 1

  • Obtain containers - ie: plastic buckets, backpacks, gym bags etc

Week 2

  • Assemble items necessary for sanitation kit

Week 3

  • Select a complete set of clothing for each family member. Loose fitting - ie: sweat pants, T-shirts and tube socks are not outgrown quickly (Fashion does not matter in an emergency).

Week 4

  • Assemble and date basic storable food items for survival not gourmet dining
  • Canned food or MRE's
  • Meats-tuna, spam, corned beef
  • Canned fruits & vegtables
  • Peanut Butter (substitute Sunbutter and/or Jam)
  • Canned soups, chili or stew
  • Chocolate chips or bars, granola bars
  • Crackers (Graham or saltine)
  • Dry cereal or granola
  • Raisins, dried fruit, trail mix
  • Hard Candy, fruit snacks
  • Drinking Water - 2 quarts per person per day to drink
  • Hygiene Water - 2 quarts per person per day for personal hygiene
