[edit] How to make putty time out later.

open putty, on the left side select Connection, then on the right side modify the number to set your TTL, default is 0.
Then select Session on the left then select default settings on the right then choose the save button.

  1. Download LinuxTSC with Cygwin from http://www.linuxtsc.org/download
  2. Install, simple windows install (notice the Warning for existing Cygwin users)
Within putty select 
Connection
SSH
X11
Then check the enable X11 forwarding box

Only Sessions:

regedit /e "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\putty-sessions.reg" HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SimonTatham\PuTTY\Sessions

All settings:

regedit /e "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\putty.reg" HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SimonTatham
  • Note: Dont change the name SimonTatham in the command

reg export HKCU\Software\SimonTatham\PuTTY\Sessions ([Environment]::GetFolderPath("Desktop") + "\putty-sessions.reg")

All settings:

reg export HKCU\Software\SimonTatham ([Environment]::GetFolderPath("Desktop") + "\putty.reg")
